The Rooboard was designed to enable fitness and balance training to become part of your life. We believe training should be fun and it should complement our busy lives. Most of all, our training needs to be productive and effective. If we only have 30 minutes or even 15 minutes a day for fitness training, what we do and how we do it, is vitally important.
Body weight training is an obvious choice for training anywhere, any time. Little or no equipment is required and you train at home, the office, outdoors, even on a plane. The Rooboard was designed to increase the intensity of body weight exercises, shortening your workout periods and specifically to increase balance, stability and core strength.
Why Balance and Core Strength?
Good core strength is vital to maintain perfect posture. It helps to prevent slumping which in turn can lead to lower back and neck pain, repetitive strain injuries and a generally miserable outlook. We can sleep better, work more efficiently and enjoy our lives to the fullest when our posture is unconsciously perfect and pain free.
Balance is innate but we can also improve our balance dramatically with training. Balance and stability training increases our agility, reaction time, flexibility and the way unconsciously move around our centre of gravity. If we want to react to changes in our environment to ensure our safety, before we are even aware of it – we need to train for balance.
The Rooboard adds a instability element to all the exercises performed on it. We can change the level of instability by using one or two balance pads. By adding instability we force the core and stabilizer muscles to engage. This increases the intensity of the exercise which in turn also shortens our workout time. In our busy lives what could be better than more time to do the things we love.
