Productivity in work and life should not come at the expense of your exercise time. We need to balance our health with our commitments and our career progression.
Balance Productivity In 2016
Big cities usually provide better career opportunities and salaries. These benefits often come with a serious drawback for many city workers – the commute.
Daily commutes that total anywhere from two to four, five, even six hours in total on top of a full day at work can be the norm for many. This makes it seriously difficult to exercise or maintain an effective exercise programme.
Many people have said to me that they no longer have time for fitness during the week and with Saturday now being called Shatterday – a day of rest and Sunday spent catching up on domestic duties, they are doing very little fitness activities on the weekends either.
Your fitness is important, it can reduce your risk of major illnesses, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer by up to 50% and lower your risk of early death by up to 30%. Exercise can even increase neurological function and mental health. For those in stressful jobs that require energy, intelligence and mental toughness, these benefits are especially important.

Failing to exercise and letting the body and mind fall into disrepair can not only lead to poor health it can also have a negative effect on ones productivity. We all have time to exercise, even those of us with very little spare time – even if this is only 15 minutes a day. The trick is choosing the correct exercises and equipment to enhance the time we have to train and provide us with the greatest benefits unique to our lifestyles.
Balance Your Lifestyle
I designed the Rooboard to complement busy lifestyles and enhance the type of exercises that provide the greatest benefits to those of us very little spare time, including commuters like myself. It allows us to develop an incredibly strong core to improve posture and prevent lower back and neck pain. It also acts a platform for high intensity interval and balance training.
The Rooboard will not make you the fittest person on the planet, nor will it make you the strongest. What it will do is empower you to build the strongest, healthiest body that suits your lifestyle in the shortest possible training time. Its size, durability and portability means it can used at home, work or outdoors – there is no gym required. For commuters like myself who very little time to attend a gym it has revolutionised training results.
