Exercise While Parked

Many studies have repeatedly shown that the effects of spending too much time on our posteriors is incredibly bad for us. Evidence has been found that extensive sitting increases the risk of developing some serious illnesses. Examples are type 2 diabetes, heart disease and even some forms of cancer.
A new study as shown the danger of sitting in adolescence. The British Journal of Sports Medicine suggests children go off exercise and revert to sitting much earlier than previously thought, around the age of seven.
Although the study cannot prove what causes the drop-off in physical activity, Prof John Reilly, study author from the University of Strathclyde, said “something is going wrong in British children” long before adolescence.
“Activity tails off from around the time of going to school, when there’s a change in lifestyle,” Prof Reilly said. From BBC.
