Surfers Abdominal Muscles
The Rooboard was originally designed for surfers to improve balance, stability, core strength and power. Surfers like to chat while waiting for a wave and the benefits of using the Rooboard quickly spread. One of the key benefits being around core strength.
The unique design of the Rooboard means the muscles of the core are always engaged. When you perform core and abdominal exercises with the core forced to engage to maintain balance the results are twofold.
With equal amounts of fitness training and the correct diet for muscular definition the Rooboard will create the six pack abs look or ‘surfers abs’ as we like to call them.
Amazing Design Innovations
Many balance or wobble boards have a sandpaper like grip surface or plastic knobs that are hard on the hands or feet. The Rooboard has an indented EVA grip surface which is also raised 3mm above the deck for extra comfort. This means it can be used from the hands, forearms, feet and for seated exercises without causing skin irritation or scratching.
We wanted a product that would not damage flooring or sink into the ground when used outdoors. We solved this by placing the flat surface of the balance pads against the floor and the fulcrum point against the bottom of the deck. The pads have a calculated foam density and the use of concave and convex surfaces between the pads and deck create the perfect instability for balance and core training.
