Even the Rooboard designers struggled to define it. Technically it is a balance board or a wobble board but functionally it can be used for so much more.
They designed it to increase the intensity of all our favourite exercises by adding controlled instability to force the stabiliser muscles to engage at all times.
They wanted a product that would have flat surface to stand on, sit on or use from the hands or forearms. They also wanted the grip surface to be comfortable and absorb shock.
They didn’t want a product the size of a gym ball or the weight of a wooden balance board. They also didn’t want a product that will damage the floor or sink when used outdoors like most wobble boards. The unique design features that make up the Rooboard.
So when is a balance board not a balance board? When its a Rooboard.
The amount of exercises you can perform on the Rooboard are staggering. There are many workouts and individual exercises on the Rooboard YouTube Fitness Channel for core strength, balance, power, fitness and balance.
Designed in the UK the Rooboard is becoming the go to fitness equipment for many city workers in the City of London financial district. The small size and portability of the Rooboard make it ideal for short burst workouts.
