De-Stress With Balance
Jenny C. Evans is the author of the new book The Resiliency rEvolution: Your Stress Solution for Life – 60 Seconds at a Time.
Jenny suggests 30-60 seconds of vigorous exercise is all we need to flood our brain with feel good chemicals and blast the stress out of our system. If we do this repeatedly over the day we can keep our flight or fight response well below our stress threshold level and avoid the symptoms of stress.
The Rooboard balance board has been designed for short burst workouts and exercises. By creating instability it forces the core and stabilizer muscles to engage to maintain balance and stability. This markedly increases the intensity meaning we can shorten our workouts for enhanced results.
The Rooboards compact size and portability means it is perfect for training in the office. A few simple squats or balance exercises at your desk is all that is required for the de-stress to to effect.
The Rooboard combines stabilizer board, gym ball, slant board and air cushion training in a single product.
You perform full range of motion exercises to increase balance, stability, fitness, core strength and muscular symmetry. The Rooboard creates targeted and measured instability which forces the stabiliser muscles to engage. This means you are continually strengthening the core, even when performing upper and lower body strength exercises.
Many stabilizer boards have a sandpaper like grip surface or plastic knobs that are hard on the hands or feet. The Rooboard has an indented EVA grip surface which is also raised 3mm above the deck for extra comfort. This means it can be used from the hands, forearms, feet and for seated exercises without causing skin irritation or scratching.
The Rooboard designers wanted a product that would not damage flooring or sink into the ground when used outdoors. They solved this by placing the flat surface of the balance pads against the floor and the fulcrum point against the bottom of the deck. The pads have a calculated foam density and the use of concave and convex surfaces between the pads and deck create the perfect instability for balance and core training.
We also did away with the unnecessary size of most stabilizer products and in doing so created a travel and commuter friendly fitness product. Mason Gilmour – Rooboard designer
The Rooboard has been designed to be used in small or confined spaces. Its small size also makes it perfect for the daily commute or for travel training. Why use a gym ball or a plastic or wooden wobble board when you can replicate the same exercises with a single product that is more comfortable, takes up a fraction of the exercise space and fits in a shoulder bag.
