Balance Your Fitness
The Rooboard is less than the cost of most one month gym memberships, yet it has so many exercise options it can effectively become your personal gym.
It is a balance and stability trainer with a difference. It has been designed as a small flat platform to ensure it does not get in the way of your exercise movements. This sports specific approach means it can be used as a standalone exercise tool or with additional equipment like dumbbells or resistance bands to increase the total body training potential.
As a piece of body weight training equipment it has few challengers. It enhances muscle isolation and increases the intensity of upper body, lower body and core exercises. This increased tension also decreases your exercise training times by up to 30 minutes a session. In today’s busy world, increased exercise and fitness gains in less time, frees us up to reap the rewards from the other things we love to do.
Use the Rooboard for month and you will be astounded by the results.
I leave home almost every day with the little green bag tucked under my arm. It’s become my faithful training pal.
Independent fitness start-up Surfgym launched the Rooboard Balance Board and Core Trainer after years of using alternative fitness and exercise equipment that could not fulfil all requirements.
Designed in the United Kingdom by Mason Gilmour DipSpSt, a former triathlete, fitness trainer, health club manager and life-long surfer. The Rooboard was created to fulfil specific training requirements within tight parameters. These being, it had to produce solid results, be extremely durable (in order to take a thrashing) and be easily transportable.
The Rooboard was born out of a passion to increase fitness, strength and balance. It had to increase muscular symmetry and performance for action sports like surfing, skating and skiing. And, it had to fit busy proactive lifestyles and be extremely portable, as in the daily work commute, flights, hotel rooms and those cheeky moments when you want to workout quickly and discreetly.
Truly Portable Equipment
Portable exercise equipment has been around for a long time. Skipping ropes, ab rollers, chest expanders, bungee cords, cones and mats are a few examples.
Many pieces of equipment are marketed as portable but their usability would make this questionable. The TRX suspension trainer is an example of this. Easily portable but unless you have a very secure point to fix it to, it is unusable.
Most balance boards or balance trainers are portable but they can also be cumbersome or heavy which makes their usability as portable exercise equipment as questionable as the TRX. The Rooboard set out to change this.
